      • - very difficult communication, it took a week each time to receive a response to an email. When I called I received a detailed explanation about how busy they are instead of an answer to my question. We were expected to be at home during working hours for EPC preparation, while we both work during office hours. As a tenant you should certainly pay attention to the property description. Upon entering, a reasonably concise description is drawn up, upon exit every small spot on the wall that was already there from the entrance is mentioned. Many things that were not checked upon entry were suddenly indicated upon exit. If you can, definitely call on an independent expert. Release of the guarantee has not occurred within the statutory period.

      • - Tried to rent us an apartment under false and expired EPC. Only when the contract was drawn up and we asked for the EPC did we learn that it had expired. When we asked about this expired certificate, the answer came: "a new EPC is being prepared". Not a word was said about this in advance. This new certificate turned out to be even worse than the previous one. Fortunately, we were critical from the start and refused to sign until we saw the new EPC. The only bright spot was that we eventually got our deposit refunded. We are a young couple who were renting for the first time, but we could not count on much explanation and understanding. We felt guilty asking questions and were given strange looks several times and the answer was "that's just how we work". It's a shame that the collaboration had to end this way...

      • + We bought both our new house and sold our old house with Vastgoed Debaenst. When the house was sold, the employees were very professional, but also jovial and easy to deal with. A fair target price was given very quickly (and it was correct), and the sale was also organized professionally, including taking very good photos. Appointments for 'viewers' were always agreed with us, and we were kept very well informed regarding any possible bid. The preparation of the necessary documents (e.g. EPC, compliant electricity, etc.) was also followed up very well. The purchase of the house from Vastgoed Debaenst also went very smoothly. Communication was always quick and honest to arrive at an offer. The employees were also ready before delivery to arrange everything down to the last detail. A purchase and sale can involve a lot of stress, but the good support from Vastgoed Debaenst really reduced this to a minimum!
