Kristien is a great person. Super nice and always there for you. Viewings are also possible during the weekend. Very flexible. Good advice, realistic valuation and top support with the sale of my mother's house. Kristien also helped her several times with arranging the correct papers for the notary and others. And patiently answered all our questions.
And don't forget: at a very reasonable rate!
In short, if you need a real estate agent, go directly to Aeygems real estate and look no further!

I see that many people are satisfied with Mrs. Kristien Van Cauter and Aeygems Vastgoed. We do not! When I contacted Mrs Van Cauter to sell the family house, she told me she could do this at 2.5% (3% with VAT) and we agreed. However, since the first buyer (whom she brought in herself) turned out to be insolvent, a new buyer had to be found and a second (almost identical) compromise was drawn up. After the actual sale, we were told by the notary that Mrs. Van Cauter had charged twice, so that we ultimately paid 6% (almost 18,000 euros) to Mrs. Van Cauter. The notary pointed out that there are still real estate agencies that add the shameful rule (paragraph 4.3 of the compromise): “the real estate agent's fee is the final title acquired at the time of signing a private sales agreement…”. Normally this is a measure to ensure that the intermediary is paid (if the sale does not go ahead), but in this case it was taken literally and we therefore paid twice. “Easily earned” said the notary, but I have another word for that! Mrs Van Cauter has not always been honest and has mainly acted out of self-interest.
