      • - In 2017 we bought a house that was completed in 2015. We deliberately chose a new-build home because we thought there would be few problems or surprises with it. Moreover, it was a Hyboma home, so we thought we were in the right place. Well... They indeed show this on their website and promo, as most construction companies make it seem. Unfortunately, we have had some misery in the 7 years that we have lived here. Usually they make it seem like it is the fault of ourselves and maintenance. For example, the damp wall in one of the bedrooms is the result of poor maintenance of the shower and we would have to remove and reinstall the silicone every year. Everyone we say this to thinks we are crazy, but unfortunately we have no choice and we have been living with this for several years now. I also heard similar stories from other residents in our street. One of the neighbors is said to have appointed a company to completely redo the shower. He heard from that contractor that the shower tray is simply standing loose on some bricks and this goes against the way it should have been built. It's a pity that this has to be done in a new-build home... Another problem that I have been emailing about for more than a year is the following: A closed carport and garden shed were also installed at our house. However, the concrete plateau has collapsed so much that you can almost see it with the naked eye. As a result, every time it rains, we have a huge puddle of water because all the water from the sidewalk flows into our carport (equivalent to 10-20 liters in an average rain shower). So there is a tractor in our carport as standard, but this might not actually be the intention. Due to the large amount of water, it still remains wet the day after a rain shower, when everything is otherwise completely dry. Even though almost everything is dry again, we are always allowed to enter our house with wet shoes. I also emailed for this. People have come by. It has been established. It has been indicated that this is indeed not the intention and a company has been sent to provide a solution. However, when that company arrived, they told me that they could saw in our concrete, but this would not solve the problem. After further contact with hyboma, they continued to offer me the same solution, which is therefore not a solution. Ultimately, our contact has now been broken, because they indicate that they have done their best to provide a solution. However, this is a bit like if they sent a plumber for my electrical problems... besides the point. I spent hours contacting them to find a solution together with them. Unfortunately Hyboma is not capable of this and I will have to solve it myself. There will probably be another response shortly, similar to the email exchange I have with them, in which they say that they have offered a solution but I do not want to accept it. I can say in advance and again: @Hyboma: the contractor you sent told me that he can drill, but this will not provide a solution to the problem. I always try to resolve such problems with the company itself. Ultimately, I lost many hours on this case without any results. So the only thing I can do now is warn others so that they know which company they are working with to purchase their house. So be warned!

      • + This is a trip to memory lane. A really old cafe with new management. Very special local beers, but you first have to get to know the owner a little before you feel at home.
