Very correct progress of our major renovations. We renovated, among other things: bathroom, open kitchen, new floors, facade to install elevator, new stairs, windows, terrace, gates (fencing), .... Everything was carried out as agreed and neatly finished.
Even if we did change something, nothing was too much for them. We could always ask our project leader our questions. Big compliments to the entire team.
We definitely recommend Baeten - Van Es.

Over the past 20 years, I have called on this company several times, both for renovations and for new construction of several apartment projects. Usually it concerned the (aluminum) windows and doors, but sometimes also parts of e.g. kitchens or complete terrace balustrades.
The very fact that I have continued to rely on their services repeatedly speaks for itself. Because I took charge of the projects myself, each part was compared with a price for the project in an all-in turnkey scenario. In a last project, the Baeten - Van Es company was 33% cheaper (for the window-door part) than a competitor, although compared to the price in a turnkey quotation. Their quality and specifications were even better.
Afterwards, the projects were rented out, and in case of any comments (sometimes far-fetched and from difficult tenants), their support and flexibility was adequate.
I can recommend this company to everyone.

We collaborated with Baeten-Van Es for exterior and interior carpentry, parquet/laminate and kitchen in a total renovation. This was a pleasant and correct collaboration from start to finish. Very helpful in making all choices during the planning phase. There is clearly a lot of experience in the team and that also flowed into our project. Advice was given with our satisfaction first, not margins or convenience as can sometimes happen with other contractors. We could also always go to the showroom if we wanted to view or discuss something with the team.
We were also very satisfied with the implementation phase. Everything was installed on time and very professionally. A separate coordinator was appointed for our project (facade insulation and crepi were also subcontracted by BVE). That person was always available. Even months after completion and payment of the last invoices, we immediately reached out to that person to schedule a minor repair. So we were also very satisfied with after-sales service.
Now, 1.5 years after the renovation, we still regularly get people at our door wanting to know who installed our joinery. There is no better compliment for their work. Naturally, we are always happy to refer people to Baeten – Van Es.

Very mixed experience. There are very good things about this company, and very bad things.
On the positive side:
+ Given the nature of the work (total renovation with techniques as well as water/electricity/gas, custom kitchen, insulation work, floor work, finishing), a quick delivery of about 3 months. => the combination of expertise in their own staff allows them to plan the works much more efficiently)
+ Skilled and friendly workers. I have met about 20 in total and for me that is where their gold lies: these people are all great!
+ Almost everything is possible if you have a very good idea of what you want. (= implementers rather than designers)
On the negative side:
- Once the work had started, it was very difficult to reach them or receive clear schedules. No idea what would happen when, and the commercial contact person withdraws completely 'that's up to the site manager'.
- Very classic, outdated way of working, both in the presentation of the works (everything very unclear, described in detail in a Word without accompanying 3D drawings or images), and in their initial own proposals (wanted to install standard radiators instead of underfloor heating, wanted to installing a classic light point instead of spotlights, installing standard curtain boxes on all windows, ...) => so don't expect an innovative, inspiring approach from them. But do know that they can do a lot if you manage it yourself.
- Extra work on top suddenly costs a lot, without a clear explanation of how that amount is arrived at. At that moment you suddenly feel squeezed out and there is much less left of the initial great collaboration.
