Generally good experience with this company for renovation work on our house. Neat work and site manager available. Billing error (quickly corrected), a little more expensive than the competition and a slight delay (especially in evacuation after work) but otherwise nothing negative.

Constructed our apartment building in 2020, and it's been a never ending story of problems. From people having no heating, construction errors in tiling/terraces/roofing... Some of the apartments have moisture problems resulting in mold. Others have scratched windows for which Balcaen made numerous new appointments (because they dropped the new windows, or they brought the wrong size...) Problem is mainly that they work with subcontractors that often don't speak French, English or Dutch (eastern Europeans), don't know their trade (so amateuristic); all refer to one another, to their bosses... Balcaen already changed the project manager for this building 3 times. Says enough. Nothing but problems. If I could go back in time I wouldn't have bought this apartment, it has given me headaches, health problems and so much stress. Just stay away from this company.

Following a stability problem in my house, the Balcaen company came to carry out work. This involved work that had to be carried out according to the recommendations of stability experts, with very "arduous" instructions and requiring certain exemptions in order to be able to work with concrete with particular characteristics. The work was carried out professionally and very quickly. I can only recommend this company. They respect their commitments, unlike other companies where you will wait for the contractor to visit and the work to be completed. It is a reliable and serious company.

This company was chosen by our Organizing Power to carry out important work at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The deplorable quality of the work carried out (by the company itself or its subcontractors) means that our internationally renowned school finds itself in significant organizational difficulties (6 large classrooms are unusable). All our requests have remained without a constructive response for months, there is total disregard for the end customer and no respect for the quality slogans announced on the firm's website.
